PRODUCTIONS

 

The Production Team of North Metro Academy is committed to creating quality opportunities of performance for all students.

 

Yearly, we have a Fall Showcase highlighting  all students in our school through their acting, singing, dance or instruments. Throughout the year there are a variety of small performances and recitals that showcase our student body.

 

Our previous shows include original productions written by our talented staff. " Class Act" adapted by Nyasa Sullivan, "Carousel" Written by Herbert Bowens and "Broadway!, A Winter-Wonderland Music Revue, Written and Directed by Shar-Reese Alfred, Performing Arts Director and Choreographed and Co-Directed by: Nyasa Sullivan.

We also had the pleasure of performing 2 Broadway Jr. Musicals " Lion King Jr. Co- Directed by; Herbert Bowens & Shar-Reese Alfred. Choreographed by: Nyasa Sullivan and Music Directed by: Dennis Byrd. We have also performed  "School House Rock Jr." Directed by: Nyasa Sullivan and "OZ" directed by Shar-Reese Alfred.

 

Previously, our middle school Thespians  have performed "Big Bad","Hello Shakespeare", and " Mystery on 13th Street".  Last year 4th and 5th grade performed "The Fairytale Network. As well, our Dance, Band and Guitar Students will have a spring recital. This year theatre majors will perform "12 Angry Pigs, based on "12 Angry Men".

We have also added Set Design and Production and 4th and 5th grade majors will be responsible for the set and props for all of our shows.

​

As our mainstage production this year we will perform "Peter Pan Jr." Directed by: Jamie Smith and Choreographed by: Nyasa Sullivan.

This year is going to be another amazing year at NMAPA!!!!
