Shar-Reese Alfred, native of Columbus, Ohio is a Theatre Director, Vocal Coach, Songwriter, Music Director and Self-Published Author of "ABC's In The Word", book series. She is a graduate of Wittenberg University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Dance with a Music Minor. Ms. Shar owns A'Starz Studio's and is earning her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from North Central University. She is a formally trained classical and gospel pianist/singer and has been singing professionally since the age of three. To her credit, she began directing at age 13.

She has professionally sung background for several R&B and Gospel Singers such as Jennifer Holiday, Peabo Bryson, Michael Bouble’, just to name a few. Shar-Reese began her career at the age of thirteen vocal coaching, choral directing and arranging for church, school and professional stage plays. Entertainment is a vital part of her life and as Artistic Director for Jamocha Arts, she hosted two annual festivals showcasing aspiring music, theatre and dance artist at the Legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Shar-Reese has also had the honor of being a T.O.P.S. Performer and Theatre Workshop Host for the Karamu Theatre, the first Historically Black Theatre in the USA.

She has co-hosted with the YMCA and Radio Disney the Annual “Healthy Kids Day Festival” and for several years she has been the Youth Pastor at her church. She is currently the Artistic Director as well as Vocal Coach and Piano Instructor with Key Music Center(Norcross, GA) and Musical Theatre Director for The Actor’s Edge(Duluth, GA)

Affectionately known as "Ms. Shar" to her students and private clientele, she has taught thousands of children piano, voice and acting. She is formerly the Performing Arts Director at North Mero Academy of Performing Arts August of 2015-2018. As well she is the Drama Teacher for grades K-5. During her tenure at NMAPA she wrote & co- directed "Broadway, A Musical Revue", directed, "Big Bad", Hello Shakespeare" co- directed, "Lion King Jr.", "Mystery at 13th Street", "The Fairytale Network", and is currently the director of "North Pole's Got Talent" (3rd Grade Production) and "12 Angry Pigs" (Drama Major Production) for the 2018-2019 Season at NMAPA.

As Ms. Shar is continuing her education, she will pursue a Doctorate in Education with a Business Specialization. Within the next few years, she will open "her own Performing Arts & Technology Private High School.
